Scientists discovered it, described it 
with their fancy labels:
Wave lengths, Chloroplasts,
Chemical Bonds, Photosynthesis,
BIOLUMINESCENCE!

But -- does it take a scientist to
walk under the starry night sky as 
the presence of a garden path lights
up our very souls? All is illuminated
in the wisdom of the leaves. 

My two prompt sites converged today, asking me to search for a title that spoke to me and then to write a poem to match that title. This title is from The Strangest Things in the World: A Book About Extraordinary Manifestations of Nature.
