While we
are busy building,
While we
are busy boating,
While we
are busy busying
ourselves,
The world is busy being,
breaking apart, coming together,
Every day a reformation
of the last.
This poem was written in response to Margo Roby’s image prompt of 12/15/15.
I like the whimsical then serious direction this takes. The alliteration is wonderful, especially as it is absent for the final stanza, the part that needs to sink in. I love the way this works.
The repetition is magic in this. Nice. Barbara.
Oh, wow…the words that you choose to repeat in the beginning cause your ending to be that much more powerful – those last four lines – pow! Nice, really nice!
